Electronics board v2

Version 2 of the board is now fitted. After a very long time on the backburner, a lot of progress has been made on this build without much in the way of updating this blog. Technology has certainly advanced in all areas, but a major help for this build has been the purchase of a 3D printer. This has let me re-imagine a lot of ideas I had way back when I started building, and the electronics board is one of those.

All of the components have moved to a new board (still plastic, but white now), which I've now mounted vertically across the back of the frame using custom made hinges and a custom retaining latch designed around the frame's existing round rods. The panel is fully removable thanks to a few connectors, making it easy to take away for bench work or for better access inside the frame.
