More filing on the dome. I'd previously drilled out the rectangular hole for the Rear Logic Display but got sidetracked. Actually, I've been sidetracked with a lot of things lately hence the lack of updates in the past week. There was this one day where I f... oh, sorry, I got sidetracked again.
The hole I'd previously drilled out was intentionally cut smaller than required so that I left enough meat on the dome to file out and get a nice close tolerance. Every bloke understands the benefits of a close fit so there's no need for me to get sidetracked again. After a couple of rubs with the file, the hole had been opened out to the right size.


Exhibit B here shows the unpainted RLD with the painted dome panel in situ.
That RLD will eventually be painted to resemble aluminium, but that's going to require more R&D to get it right.
